3 killed, 2 injured in NW Pakistan's firing

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- A firing incident in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has left three people killed and two others injured, local media reported Tuesday.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning when some unknown gunmen sprayed bullets at a car and fled the scene, local TV channel ARY News reported.

The killed people including two brothers who were going somewhere in their car when the attackers ambushed their vehicle and attacked it.

The attack happened in Dera Ismail Khan area of the province, which lies close to the country's lawless tribal belt.

Police is investigating about the motive of the firing. No group or person has claimed the killings so far.

The injured people have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
