China's Daqing Oilfield reports growth in output

HARBIN, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Daqing Oilfield, a subordinate of the China National Petroleum Corporation, produced over 14.92 million tonnes of crude oil and 2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first half of 2021, the oilfield said Wednesday.

The output of oil and natural gas increased by 45,800 tonnes and 175 million cubic meters over the same period of last year respectively.

Daqing Oilfield is one of China's largest oil production bases. Located in the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, the oilfield has made a significant contribution to China's modern petroleum industry since it was discovered in 1959.
