BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- U.S. film "Godzilla vs Kong" continued to dominate the Chinese mainland box office chart on Tuesday, according to data from the China Movie Data Information Network.
On the fifth day of its release, the new chapter in the cinematic MonsterVerse grossed 36.5 million yuan (5.56 million U.S. dollars), or about 71 percent of the daily total.
Domestic feature "Warrior of China" came in second, finishing the day with a revenue of 3.16 million yuan.
It was followed by time-travel comedy "Hi, Mom," which generated a revenue of 2.94 million yuan.
In fourth was re-released sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar," with daily earnings of about 2.3 million yuan. The fifth-highest-grossing film "Endgame" raked in about 2.16 million yuan on Tuesday. Enditem
