SANTO DOMINGO, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The shipment of Chinese vaccines against COVID-19 arrived at 7:42 p.m. Dominican local time on Tuesday. The cargo plane arrived at Las Americas International Airport (AILA), the main air terminal in the Dominican capital. The country's Vice President Raquel Pena led the official delegation that received the batch of Chinese vaccines.

The government of the country will administer the vaccines to personnel who have been working on the front line in the fight against the pandemic.
