With the completion of its main structure and interior decorations, the National Speed Skating Oval recently has launched commissioning of the venue's lighting system. As the venue for the Beijing Winter Olympics, it has the most extensive ice design in Asia, with an ice surface area of 12,000 square meters. The speed skating venue, known as the "Ice Ribbon," is the only major urban facility being built for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
