SINGAPORE, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) climbing 1.09 percent or 36.79 points to close at 3423.38.
A total of 2.50 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.35 billion Singapore dollars (about 992.99 million U.S. dollars). Gaianers outnumbered losers by 234 to 204.
The STI index closed up 0.12 percent or 4.21 points to close at 3386.59 Monday.
