JAKARTA, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian beach volleyball team has targeted a silver medal in the 18th Asian Games in the country next year, an official said on Wednesday.
Head of beach volleyball department of the Indonesian Volleyball Association Slamet Mulyanto said the target was set based on the achievement of the country's players in the previous Asian Games.
"In Asian Games, Indonesian team has a good track record, because it always secures medals, including silver and bronze medals. With the capability of the players at present, I am optimistic the national team can secure medals," he was quoted by Antara news wire as saying in Palembang, the provincial capital of South Sumatra.
The 18th Asian Games will be held from Aug. 18 to Sept. 22 in the country's capital and Palembang city.
