SARI PUL, Afghanistan, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Afghan forces have bombed militants' stronghold and training center, killing at least seven fighters and injuring 11 others in the northern Sar-e-Pol province, an official said Sunday.
"A Taliban training center was completely destroyed following an Afghan forces' airstrike late on Saturday night in Alaf-e-Safid area outside the provincial capital Saripul city, where seven insurgents were killed and 11 others were wounded," an army spokesman in the northern region Nasratullah Jamshidi told Xinhua.
No comment was immediately available from Taliban outfit on the incident.
