MACAO, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Indian golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar stayed on course for his second Macao Open title after battling to a third round three-over-par 74 to keep on leading the board on Saturday.
"It was quite difficult out there, not the round that I wanted but there are still 18 more holes to go. I struggled a bit today. I hit the ball pretty good but not as good as I did the last two days," said Bhullar, who won the Macao Open title in 2012.
Bhullar, who has led from the opening round, carded with four birdies against two bogeys, one double-bogey and a triple-bogey to stay ahead by only one shot on a total of 203.
"I am going to stay positive. I know I am driving the ball well and I am hitting the ball well. I am just expecting myself to hole a lot of putts tomorrow. The goal is to follow my routine in the process. If I am able to do that, I will be able to meet my expectations," added Bhullar, who is chasing his eighth victory on Asia Tour.
Another Indian golfer Ajeetesh Sandhu delivered a 71 to share second place on 204 with Chinese Taipei's Hung Chien Yao, who signed the best score of 65 in the third round.
Wolmer Murillo of Venezuela carried out a 66 to stay in the fourth place on 205 with Angelo Que of the Philippines, who posted a 71.
Chinese veteran Zhang Lianwei carded a 74 to tie 32nd position on 215 with Chinese young talent Lin Yuxin, who marked his card with four birdies to take 71, his best score in three rounds.
Organized by the Golf Association of Macao and sanctioned by the Asian Tour, the 2017 Macao Golf Open will end on Oct. 22, fielding with 144 of the world's most seasoned professionals and the region's upcoming amateur talents.
