FAIZABAD, Afghanistan, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- At least two Afghan army personnel were killed and ammunition wasted, when an ammunition packed army truck skidded of the road and fell into river in northern province of Badakhshan, an army source said Saturday.
The incident took place early Saturday morning, when an army vehicle, filled with ammunition, skidded of the road and fell into river in the mountainous Qara Kamar area of Argo district, Ghulam Hazrat Karimi, a spokesman of army 20 Pamir Zone based in the area told Xinhua.
The reason behind the incident was poor road condition, said the source.
