2 leaders of pro-IS militants killed in Philippines' Marawi City

MANILA, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Philippine Abu Sayyaf Group leader Isnilon Hapilon and one of the leaders of the IS-inspired Maute group, Omar Maute, have been killed in the besieged Marawi City, local media quoted the military sources as saying.

Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Restituto Padilla said the military was still in the process of confirming the news.
