TUNIS, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- The declared investment intention in the industry sector in Tunisia until the end of August saw a year-on-year increase of 25.1 percent, said the Agency for Promotion of Industry and Innovation on Sunday.
The agency said that the industrial investment intention reached a total of 2.38 billion dinars (950 million U.S. dollars), rising from 1.9 billion dinars (760 million U.S. dollars) last year.
The number of declared industrial projects recorded a growth of 3 percent, representing 2,484 projects capable of generating 39,796 jobs.
Sectors of building materials and ceramic industry have seen the biggest increase of 47.3 percent or 361.9 million dinars (145.1 million U.S. dollars).
