U.S. stocks close higher on strong jobs report

NEW YORK, July 7 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks closed higher on Friday as the country's jobs report for June came out much better than expected.

The Dow gained 0.44 percent, and the S&P 500 added 0.64 percent, while the Nasdaq increased 1.04 percent.
