SINGAPORE, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropped 22.37 points, or 0.69 percent, to close at 3,226.34.
A total of 2.05 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.13 billion Singapore dollars (about 813.7 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 222 to 200.
The STI index rose 37.54 points, or 1.17 percent, to close at 3,248.71 Wednesday.
