TOKYO, April 12 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 109 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.57-58 yen compared with 109.57-67 yen in New York and 110.54-56 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0608-0610 dollars and 116.24-25 yen against 1.0599-0609 dollars and 116.18-28 yen in New York and 1.0590-0591 dollars and 117.06-10 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
