"The bombers died instantly without killing anybody," Isuku said.
He said another suspected suicide bomber detonated his IED in Dusuman village, killing himself and injuring another person who tried to stopped him.
The attacks came barely few 24 hours after a high-ranking member of the Boko Haram terrorist group Bulama Kailani Mohammed Metele surrendered to government forces.
Army spokesman Sani Usman said Metele, from Tumbun Bera in Borno, belonged to Mamman Nur's faction of the terrorists group under the leadership of Abu Mustapha.
Meanwhile, Usman said two suspected Boko Haram terrorists carrying out surveillance on Kareto and Dangalti villages had been arrested by troops.
Preliminary investigation showed that they are on reconnaissance mission to facilitate possible attack on the communities, according to him.
