HANOI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Vu Huy Hoang, former Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade in 2011-2016 tenure got disciplined by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee's Secretariat.
The Secretariat offered warning to the Party Delegation to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) in 2011-2016, while dismissing Hoang from the position as Secretary of the Party Delegation during the time, reported Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA on Thursday.
The Secretariat also requested the Party Delegations to the Government and the National Assembly to direct the execution of administrative punishment to Hoang.
Earlier in late October, the Central Inspection Committee proposed warning against Hoang over his violations as well as similar punishments for other state-run bodies and individuals involved, and that wrongful appointments made by these officials be revoked.
Hoang, born in 1953, holds doctoral degree in economics. He was members of the 10th, 11th CPVCC, and deputy to the 13th National Assembly.
Hoang became the MoIT Minister and secretary of the MoIT's Party Committee in 2007. He was relieved from duty of MoIT Minister in April 2016.
