Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake located in the eastern province of Jiangxi, has seen its water level rising to a record high and continuing going up. As home to more than 46 million people, Jiangxi is braced for a battle against the disaster and has raised its flood-control response to the highest level on Saturday. Though facing the flood catastrophe, Jiangxi currently reported no flood-related civilian deaths as the province stepped up efforts in sounding alarms and evacuating people in advance.
