Japan's Matsuyama Ballet Troupe show their support to China in the battle against the novel coronavirus with Chinese slogans and China's national anthem.
BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Japan's Matsuyama Ballet Troupe show their support to China in the battle against the novel coronavirus. They believe that Chinese people will win the battle and overcome all the difficulties they meet.
Established in 1948, the Matsuyama Ballet Troupe visited China as the first envoy of the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association in 1958.
Former director of Matsuyama Ballet Troupe Masao Shimizu and his wife Mikiko Matsuyama rearranged Chinese opera White-haired Girl into ballet in the 1950s. Tetsutaro Shimizu, son of Masao Shimizu, and his wife Yoko Morishita carry forward the performance and the White-haired Girl has been a symbol of the friendship between China and Japan.
