GAZA, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Islamic Hamas movement said in a statement on Sunday that Israel's insistence to "continue the escalation on Gaza by bombing Hamas military facilities and other militant groups" is "dangerous" and "can't be accepted."

In a pre-dawn raid, Israeli fighting planes struck Hamas military posts and facilities in Gaza in retaliation to three makeshift projectiles fired towards southern Israel. No injuries were reported on both sides.

No one claimed responsibility for the rockets attack, while an Israeli army spokesman held Hamas responsible for the attack.

Meanwhile, Hamas announced that its chief Ismail Haniyeh arrived in Turkey on Sunday as part of a foreign tour.

Hamas said Haniyeh began his tour two days ago by visiting Egypt, where he held talked with the Egyptian security intelligence chief Abbas Kamel.

"The meeting with Kamel discussed the calm understandings that were reached with Israel and brokered by Egypt," the statement said adding that "Hamas leaders insisted that Israel must be committed to these understandings."

Egypt and the United Nations mediated one year ago a calm understanding in the Gaza Strip between Hamas and Israel, but Hamas said that Israel was not committed to it.

Sources close to Hamas, which spoke on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua that Haniyeh's foreign tour will last for two months, but did not reveal which countries he would visit other than Egypt and Turkey.
