Chinese painting, calligraphy exhibition marks 70th anniversary of China-Mongolia ties

ULAN BATOR, July 29 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese ink painting and calligraphy exhibition celebrating the long-standing friendship between China and Mongolia opened here on Monday.

The exhibition is co-organized by the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, the Beijing Association of Collectors of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting and the Union of Mongolian Artists, with the aim to contribute to the further development of cultural relations between the two countries.

"Calligraphy and painting are major components of Chinese culture. The exhibition is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia," said Khasbagana, deputy director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, at the opening ceremony.

The three-day event at the cultural center exhibits 40 works from four Chinese artists, namely Bai Binhua, Zhang Wencheng, Hao Jingcun and Sun Anmin.
