BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhua) -- A recent online survey has found that most respondents are interested in learning more about garbage sorting, the China Youth Daily reported earlier this week.

Among 2,002 respondents, 95.8 percent expressed willingness to be exposed to such knowledge, though only 25.6 percent said that they already knew enough about the initiative.

On further promoting garbage sorting, 69.8 percent of the respondents expect more media coverage, along with a similar portion calling for in-community or door-to-door promotion campaigns on garbage sorting.

In the meantime, 57.8 percent of them propose producing short videos and posters to raise public awareness in sorting garbage.

About 43.4 percent of the surveyed live in the first-tier cities and 39.3 percent in second-tier cities.
