Aerial photo taken on May 23, 2019 shows kelps being left to dry on a beach in Xiangdong Village on Daqin Island of Changdao County, Yantai, east China's Shandong Province. There are about 867 hectares of kelp farms near Daqin Island and local kelp farmers are usually occupied with their summer harvest between May and August. In 2018, fresh kelps harvested around Daqin Island amounted to 182,000 tonnes, among which 18,000 tonnes were made into dry kelps. (Xinhua/Zhu Zheng)
