TEHRAN, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, on Monday warned against any negotiations with the United States under sanction pressures.

"The enemy seeks to force us to the negotiating table under economic pressures," Soleimani was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.

Iran knows that entering talks with the "enemy" in the current circumstances would be tantamount to "sheer surrender," he added.

"Definitely, we will not accept this disgrace" of talks with the United States under sanctions, the Iranian commander concluded.

Last week, Washington ended six months of waivers for Iran's major oil buyers and demanded they stop purchases by May.
