KUNMING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- The 18th China-Vietnam Border Trade Fair concluded on Saturday in southwest China's Yunnan Province with a transaction volume of 695 million U.S. dollars.

The 5-day fair, held in China's border county Hekou, features some 1,220 Chinese and Vietnamese stalls displaying electronics, ceramics, agricultural products, food, garment and furniture, its organizers said.

This year's transaction volume marks an increase of 18.2 percent over that in 2016, when the fair was also held in Hekou, the organizers said.

The fair has also attracted exhibitors from countries including the Republic of Korea (ROK), Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia and Thailand.

Since 2001, the fair has been held in Hekou and Lao Cai of Vietnam alternatively, aiming to provide a platform for China, Vietnam and other ASEAN countries to enhance trade and investment.
