PARIS, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.28 percent, or 14.92 points, to close at 5,363.79 points.
A total of 25 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
French automotive manufacturer Peugeot advanced 3.84 percent. European IT services corporation Atos rose 2.33 percent. TechnipFMC, a UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services for the energy industry, gained 2.12 percent.
European aerospace corporation Airbus Group edged down 1.28 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French transnational company specialized in water management, waste management, transport and energy services Veolia Environment lost 0.96 percent. French multinational corporation specialized in energy management, automation solutions, spanning hardware, software and services Scheider Electric lost 0.64 percent. Enditem
