KHARTOUM, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Li Lianhe on Thursday briefed the Sudanese media on the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), during which China vowed to build a community with a shared future with Africa.

The FOCAC summit, held on Sept. 3-4, was attended by most African leaders including Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

At the briefing, Li focused on Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech at the opening ceremony of the summit, in which the Chinese leader reiterated that China is "always Africa's good friend, good partner and good brother" and no one could undermine the great unity between the Chinese people and African people.

The ambassador further noted that the speech included reassurances that China takes "an open and inclusive approach" to its cooperation with Africa and that China is fully aware that long-term stability, security, development and invigoration for Africa is not only the longing of the African people, but also the responsibility of the international community.

Li stressed China's commitment to the six points as mentioned in the speech on building a China-Africa community with a shared future based on joint responsibility, win-win cooperation, happiness for all, cultural prosperity, common security, and harmony between man and nature.

The Chinese diplomat also introduced the eight major initiatives that China will implement with African countries in the next three years and beyond, covering fields such as industrial promotion, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, green development, capacity building, health care, people-to-people exchange, and peace and security.
