HANOI, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will set up a national steering committee to fix incidents related to cyber security, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on the local newspaper Vietnam News on Wednesday.
The committee will fill the space for a national-level committee to co-ordinate rescue activities in case of a cyber attack, the prime minister said.
The information ministry was tasked to be the standing body of the committee and will decide plans to direct other authorities including public securities, national defense and relevant agencies to solve the incidents immediately, noted the PM.
Recently, websites of Vietnam's key international airports, including the southern Tan Son Nhat Airport, northern Noi Bai Airport, central Tuy Hoa Airport in Phu Yen province, have been hacked, interrupting people's access to airports' services.
There have been other incidents of cyber attacks recently.
