NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted 23 km southwest of Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo at 17:20:26 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 12.12 km, was initially determined to be at 2.6442 degrees south latitude and 28.6959 degrees east longitude.
