TOKYO, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares closed nearly flat Tuesday amid renewed geopolitical concerns following media reports about possible missile launch of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 9.75 points, or 0.04 percent, from Monday at 22,486.24.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 4.66 points, or 0.26 percent, lower at 1,772.07.
Decliners were led by mining and marine transportation issues, while gainers were led by retail and food issues.
The day's turnover was around 2,617.4 billion yen (23.52 billion U.S. dollars).
