WASHINGTON, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Six juveniles aged 12 to 16 were shot Friday night in Cleveland, a major city in the midwestern U.S. state of Ohio, and one of the six is confirmed dead, local TV reported Saturday.
Cleveland's Fox 8 reported the other five teens were hospitalized.
"Kids crossed paths and shots were fired," Cleveland police Chief Calvin Williams told Fox 8.
The tragedy was not believed to be gang-related, though the motive remained unclear, said Williams.
"We don't know exactly what spurred this or what happened, but definitely, our hearts go out to the families of the victims here," he added.
Police are still investigating and ask for the public's help in finding the suspects, he said.
