TOKYO, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher in early trading on Tuesday tracking overnight gains on U.S. and European bourses overnight.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 191.12 points, or 0.86 percent, from Monday to 22,452.88.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 11.34 points, or 0.64 percent, at 1,770.99.
Oil and coal product, nonferrous metal, and iron and steel-related stocks comprised those that gained the most by the close of play.
