JAKARTA, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Tennis players from 16 countries and regions will compete in a men's tennis tournament in Jakarta this month, committee of the event said here on Thursday.
The sport event so called "Men's Future Indonesia" will be played in Jakarta from Nov. 20 to Dec. 2, said Susan Soebakti, senior official at the country's tennis association and committee of the sport event.
The tournament will be played into two series and offers a total of 50,000 U.S. dollars prize, she said at Sultan Hotel.
For Indonesia, the official disclosed that this event would be a barometer for the country's tennis players before competing in the upcoming Asian Games in the nation.
"This will be a tryout matches for them who will vie in the Asian Games," she said.
