JAKARTA, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Powerful winds and heavy rains hit Central Java province of Indonesia on Thursday, leaving 3 people dead and 5 others wounded, a disaster agency official said.
The incident took place at 16:00 p.m. local time in Tegal district of the province, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of the national disaster management agency said.
A house collapsed during the winds and hit a nearby shop building where all the victims were staying, he told Xinhua in a text message.
