LONDON, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.65 percent, or 49.17 points, to close at 7,513.11 points.
SSE, a major British energy company, soared 2.62 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. The business support services company DCC and a multinational health care company NMC Health increased by 1.37 percent and 1.07 percent, respectively.
G4S, a British multinational security services company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.69 percent.
