LONDON, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.65 percent, or 49.17 points, to close at 7,513.11 points.
SSE, a major British energy company, soared 2.62 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. The business support services company DCC and a multinational health care company NMC Health increased by 1.37 percent and 1.07 percent, respectively.
G4S, a British multinational security services company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.69 percent. The British multinational food processing and retailing company Associated British Foods dropped 3.74 percent. Direct Line Insurance Group, a British insurance company, fell 3.02 percent. Enditem
