SINGAPORE, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) rising 0.9 percent or 30.19 points to close at 3,386.44.
A total of 1.88 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.35 billion Singapore dollars (about 983.57 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 236 to 202.
The STI index closed up 0.37 percent or 12.37 points to close at 3,356.25 Thursday.
