WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Derrick Rose will miss his first homecoming game against the Bulls as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cavs confirmed on Monday.

The guard, who is dealing with a sprained left ankle suffered in Friday's win against the Milwaukee Bucks, will not play in Chicago, and possibly miss more games.

"He's going to be out a few more days I guess, I don't know," coach Tyronn Lue said of Rose, who is averaging 13 points per game this season for the Cavs.

"Seven days? I'm not sure. We're going to do the right thing and just take our time. Don't want to rush him back, make sure he's feeling good before we try to force him back into the lineup," added Lue.

Jose Calderon will start for Rose, Lue said.
