BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- An opera music film "Poetry Romance" was premiered in the Schwartz Theater of Confucius Institute at the State University of New York, the United States.
This is an important part of the Shenzhen Cultural Week held by the south China city in New York.
The film gives stress to artistic elements such as opera, music, stage effects in describing vividly the faithful love story between the Song Dynasty (960-1279) sentimental poetess Li Qingzhao and her scholar husband Zhao Mingcheng.
“Poetry Romance” not only combines film with opera, but also retains the stage charm which is a new attempt to spread the traditional Chinese culture relying on modern film technology, said Xia Yunhua, director of the film.
