FRANKFURT, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- German shares closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 12.11 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 12,955.94 points.
German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.87 percent, followed by housing association Vonovia and Deutsche Post, which lost 1.60 percent and 1.29 percent respectively.
European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1, automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and reinsurance company Munich Re were the top three winners, rising 2.47 percent, 0.80 percent and 0.56 percent respectively.
German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 191.27 million euros (223.91 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
