BEIRUT, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The British government on Monday eased travel advice for Lebanon in response to the stable security situation in the country, the British Embassy in Lebanon said.
"We have eased our travel advice in response to improvements to the general situation in the country in recent years," a British Embassy spokesperson said.
However the spokesperson stressed "we continue to warn citizens that terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks against sites in Lebanon, as well as a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals."
He added "we advise our citizens to remain vigilant and familiarize themselves with our travel advice before traveling."
He said "we value our partnership with the Lebanese security forces and will continue to work closely with them. Our travel advice is kept under constant review and restrictions may be reinstated if our assessment changes."
