LONDON, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.68 percent, or 49.94 points, to close at 7,372.76 points.
ITV, a British media company, soared 3.56 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Anglo American and Antofagasta increased by 2.64 percent and 2.21 percent, respectively.
The British financial service company Hargreaves Lansdown was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 1.14 percent. Babcock International Group, a British support services company, dropped 0.72 percent. Randgold Resources, the major multinational metal company, fell 0.48 percent. Enditem
