LONDON, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.13 percent, or 9.31 points, to close at 7,322.82 points.
CRH, a global building materials group, soared 2.92 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Ferguson and Rolls-Royce Holdings increased by 2.79 percent and 2.61 percent, respectively.
The multinational tobacco company Imperial Brands was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.02 percent. EasyJet, a Low-cost carrier, dropped 1.80 percent. Carnival, the major cruise company, fell 1.72 percent. Enditem
