Discussing "all common subjects of interests," Macron called on Putin to do more to help ending Syrian crisis, and "to move forward to launch as soon as possible real negotiations under the United Nations ... to reach lasting stability."
Speaking about the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s last missile launch , the French head of state noted "the importance of Russia's role in this crisis for a united and firm response of the international community."
During the phone conversation, both leaders stressed the "seriousness of the situation in face of Pyongyang's repeated provocations for international peace and security," the Elysse said in a press release.
