NEW YORK, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted 96km NW of Kodiak Station, Alaska at 17:46:01 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 68.9 km, was initially determined to be at 58.4595 degrees north latitude and 153.5762 degrees west longitude.
