BRUSSELS, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Soldiers opened fire on a man on Friday night on Emile Jacquemain Boulevard in Brussels, according to military and police sources, as quoted by the Belgian newspaper Derniere Heure.
The incident happened at 8:20 p.m.local time. The man had just assaulted the soldiers with a knife before they returned fire. Two of them were slightly injured.
The man is not known for acts of terrorism, the report said.
