Hong Kong stocks close 0.40 pct higher

HONG KONG, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 107.11 points, or 0.40 percent, to 27,154.68 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 27,086.43 and 27,221.31. Turnover totaled 81.89 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 10.47 billion U.S. dollars).
