HANOI, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will hold the state monopoly in the production and trading of 20 goods and services from Oct. 1, Vietnam News Agency reported on Saturday.
According to a recent government decree, the State holds monopoly in only essential goods and services that are related to defense and security and national interests or in areas which the private sector does not wish to operate in or is not capable of doing.
The 20 goods and services listed in the decree involve such areas as the defense and security, money printing and minting, national power grid, aviation, railway and navigation services, publishing and printing, among others.
