SINGAPORE, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 2.59 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3318.08.
A total of 1.85 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.3 billion Singapore dollars (about 959.23 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 238 to 201.
The STI index went down 5.85 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 3320.67 on Monday.
