TEHRAN, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Iran Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have dismantled a terrorist group in Iran's northwest province of West Azarbaijan, semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Sunday.
"The anti-revolution group which intended to penetrate into the country for terroristic operation, was dismantled by the IRGC ground forces in the border region of the West Azarbaijan," Mohammad Pakpoor, the commander of the ground forces of the IRGC, said.
In the operation, two terrorists were killed and four others were injured, Pakpoor said without detailing on the time of operations.
The IRGC confiscated amounts of military hardware and ammunition from the militants, the report said.
