Lebanese President urges security forces to remain vigilant

BEIRUT, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's President Michel Aoun called Friday on the Internal Security Forces' (ISF) personnel to remain vigilant and expressed his regret for lack of funding in ensuring security during Lebanon's economic woes.

"We have to remain vigilant after terrorist groups in Syria fall," the National News Agency (NNA) quoted the president as saying.

"It is the best modern technology that can help security personnel do their work, but this is only possible with necessary budget. You know that Lebanon is not in a good economic situation. We suffer from debt and the consequences of the global economic crisis," Aoun said.
